Hello, I've had a cyberpower PC for a few months now and everything has been great. I booted it up today and had an error on startup (sorry I didn't get a pic) but mentioned something along the lines of, CPU issue, press F1 to config or F2 to default. I pressed F2, possibly stupidly without knowing, and now my CPU is running around twice as hot idle as it was before. Normally sits around 30C and fans barely have to run but now it's around 60-70C, bouncing around up and down and fans are working overtime. I booted a game up and it jumped up to 90C which is unheard of as usually sits around 50-55C on this particular game. Any ideas what I've done / how I could fix it? Cheers, Will

:tada: Congrats @turbid osprey, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
What CPU?
Not quite sure why the clock rate is jumping from 1100mhz to 5287 mhz
intel 13700k
i7&
Not sure if it's worth adding, keep getting random wheels loading on cursor as if something is starting up. Not sure if it's stuck trying to open / process something? I've tried restarting
That's a hot chip
It's not ran like this before today. I must have changed some settings when I pressed F2
It's running twice as hot as before and seemingly pinging up and down on the clock rate even whilst doing nothing
Jumped to 100*C randomly for no reason
Which CPU cooler do you have?
I think it's this - LIAN LI GALAHAD 360 SILVER W/ SL120 FANS
I would shut down your PC, turn it back on and repeatedly press the Delete key on your keyboard until you get into the BIOS
Once you're there, send a picture
Okay great, will do
Sorry, not sure how to screenshot from bios
Did you need one from 'Fan info' as well?
Try heading into Advanced Mode at the top, click on OC profile and send another

:tada: Congrats @turbid osprey, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
Try loading OC Profile 1 (cpuk), they are the settings that Cyberpower applied before they sent your PC out
Will give it a go
Legend mate, think that's done it. Thank you, I'd have never found that
Must have defaulted to a diff profile
Np
Yeah it will have defaulted to the settings which the motherboard has out of the box rather than what Cyberpower configured
