It should do
I need to know for sure i checked the mother boards website and this one AM4* Ryzen 7 5700X(100-000000926) 65W Vermeer 3.4GHz 4MB P2.10 shows but I dont know if the one i just sent is near enough the same or not
Yes thats the same one
so it will 100% work?
As I said it should do. Might have to update to the latest BIOS first
do you have a video of how to do that?
We are going to teach you how to check your ASRock motherboard BIOS version, update it, and clear CMOS. For this demonstration we will be using an AM4 motherboard. If you have another ASRock motherboard then there can be some differences in the available update methods and the procedure might be slightly different.
okay also if my cpu rn is a ryzen 5 4600g with radeon graphics and im playing a game but the usage isn't high could that still be a reason for fps drops?
What GPU do you have, thats usually more important for games
Depends on the game really, its a lowish end GPU
GTA V is just pretty badly optimised.
So I’ve tried to install the new cpu it read that the cpu is there
But the pc just powers off after a minute
Anyone know why that would be?
like my bios is at the version that it is validated at
When you say it reads it's there, does it post?
it shows this i then press y it runs shows asrock loading screen and after 1minute the pc just shuts down
:one: Shut down your PC and unplug the power cord from the wall.
:two: Locate the CMOS battery (see the image below). On some motherboards, you may have to remove the graphics card in order to access it.
:three: Remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard by pressing down on the clip and pulling the battery out.
:four: Hold down the case power button for three seconds while your PC is unplugged.
:five: Install the CMOS battery back into the motherboard and plug the power cord back into the wall.
:six: Plug in and turn on your PC.
A video guide is also available below
And this will make it work?
:tada: Congrats @visual hornet, you levelled up to 4! :tada:
Would I do this while the new cpu is in
Yea
It didn’t work
It stays on shows asrock loading screen for a minute then the mother board beeps once and the pc turns off

It’s in right my pc turned on just now it worked for 3 minutes let me get it and then it switched off
Like this time it acc let me into the pc
Maybe a cable?
But the old cpu does work could it be cpu drivers?
Like there’s no issues at all when the old cpu is in but this one it just does that
It never managed to get to my Home Screen before tho which means the cmos reset did do something
Got this message this time
Pressed restart it done it stayed on for abit longer this time and then turned off again
I checked the validated bios for the cpu I installed in and that is the bios Iam currently on
P2.10
Okay, Is your boot order all correct in BIOS too?
I changed my memory not too long ago and it re-ordered my boot priority and gave me the same / a similar message
That’s not the issue the issue I can restart it but if I restart it and it still keeps shutting down that would be a waste of my time
I got this and then it shut down again
It’s really taking the piss now everytime something new

You might just need to contact them and see what they suggest
What cooler is it?
so now i have my old cpu in and the pc is not shutting down no messages or anything like that its just working but the ryzen 7 it shuts down my pc after 3 min
Yeah a 5700x wont do well on a wraith stealth, You'd want an AIO for it
It should not shut down like that though
I really doubt thats the cooler
It will just thermal throttle with a cooler that isn't as capable
Do you know if there’s anything else that could cause a pc to shut down after installing a new cpu
I’ll try anything just to get this cpu to work
it works but its getting hot real quick can someone help me out? with a cooler?
Did you apply thermal paste?
yes but now my gpu isnt working? anyone know why that would be?
so the gpu isnt working when the ryzen 7 is in but when i put the ryzen 5 in it works
like why everytime i find a fix for an issue another one occurs
Did you do a bios update?
I cant find a newer video as the old ones are like 13 years old
:tada: Congrats @visual hornet, you levelled up to 5! :tada:
