#Screen goes blank for 5 seconds randomly

I know you've said randomly, but are you, for example, starting a video/loading up a game or anything like that?
like during a game or loading up the game?
during a game
does the PC restart or is it just the monitor that goes off?
monitor
it's coming back later
everything is working, no restarts or errors or shutdowns
sorry, so to confirm, when it goes black and comes back on 5 secs or so after, the game is still running fine etc?
yes
Check the connections to monitor PC and check the power cable to the monitor is firmly in and correctly in the socket.
Make sure your NVIDIA drivers are up to date as well
You can check that on GeForce Experience if you havenāt got that installed yet. They have āGame Ready Driversā available on their website you could look at installing too in case it hasnāt done that automatically
I have that
IƧve searched google and it's quite common problem
it's super annoying when you play fps games
Is it one particular game
I get a blank screen when loading CSGO for a few seconds but thatās it, might be worth trying a DDU
Have you had the PC a while?
I bought it 1 month ago
or something
DDU?
it started happening right from the start
Hmmm
I wonder what it could be. If everything is connected and updated properly there shouldnāt really be a reason
Could you try running a 3DMark, just so we can cross out any potential hardware problems
Please Note: Purchasing the paid version of 3DMark is not necessary, you can download the free version by clicking 'Download Demo'.
Itās a free benchmark programme (free demo on the right side of the steam page), when you finish click compare results and paste them over to here
I can run this
Perfect
Itāll show us if there are any obvious anomalies on the hardware, if there isnāt Iāll post some DDU instructions and weāll see if that fixes it
Are you using an adapter for the display or a normal HDMI / Display Port cable?
I hsould download the demo?
using hdmi
Itāll be the only one you can run
This could be as simple as a faulty HDMI, Iām going to guess itās drivers, cable or also very unlikely hardware issue
There is an option called Time Spy on benchmarks
ok
Tells us that it appears all your components are working as expected, so as Ant said it's likely:
^
Faulty HDMI or drivers
you can try a DDU which resets your graphics drivers
drivers are the newest
:one: Download the driver for your GPU from the manufacturer's website using the links below, but don't install them yet.
:two: Download the latest version of DDU by clicking the button below, clicking on the top post which is called "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) VXX.X.X.X Released", and clicking ***Official Download Here*** in that post.
:three: Disconnect from the Internet by unplugging your ethernet cable or turning off WiFi in the bottom-right corner.
:four: Open the program you just downloaded, choose a location for DDU to be saved, then click Extract
:five: Open the Start Menu, click the power icon then hold Shift on your keyboard and click Restart. Once your PC has restarted, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, and press 4 to load into safe mode.
:six: Find the folder you extracted DDU into and open Display Driver Uninstaller.
:seven: On the right side, select the type as GPU, and the brand as the manufacturer of your GPU. Then, click 'Clean and Restart'.
:eight: Once you have loaded back into Windows, install the GPU drivers you downloaded earlier. Once they have installed, connect back to the Internet.
I had couple of hdmi cables
Yes, I understand that
and it was the same
but drivers can still mess up, even if updated
so this wipes the GPU drivers off your system and starts fresh
but you need to follow all the steps
ok
Looks pretty spot on score wise

I would give this a go
how to restart in safe mode fow windows 11?
Says Press 4 in the step by step
If you follow the step by step, itāll advise you to download the drivers directly from Nvidias website
If your drivers are up to date on GeForce, theyāll be uninstalled entirely once the DDU is performed, youāll reinstall with the downloaded drivers from Nvidias website so theyāre fresh
Just follow it step by step as per above. as it needs to be done in that order to work properly
Game ready

Only download the gpu driver for now though dont install it
