#PC Fans running at full speed

You can adjust the fan curve in BIOS
How can i do that, not really experienced lol
Which motherboard do you have
Msi Tomahawk B550
MSI bios frankly I'm not familiar with. I'll tag someone who is @blazing wadi ^
If you head into the BIOS by repeatedly pressing the Delete key on your keyboard as your PC is turning on, then you can click on Hardware Monitor and you'll be able to control the fans in there
Which fans do you have inside your PC?
Corsair fans and liquid cooler
If you click System 1 at the top and check what that's set to
You might just need to toggle between PWM and DC mode
Hold on aren't Corsair Liquid cooler fans usually controlled by ICUE
I would try changing that to PWM mode and see if that makes it any quieter
That done the job
If you click the X in the top right and save your changes, that should be sorted
Thanks Harry should i do the same with another fans?
Now its alot more quiet it was driving me mad 😅
The rest should be controlled through iCue so won't have the same issue. If there's multiple fans running just that one header, changing that would have sorted it for all of them 🙂
Also another question, should i use game boost? It was actived before but now its not
I would leave game boost off, I believe that's MSI's automatic overclocking
I would check that XMP is enabled though if it isn't already
Game booster also pumps stupid amount of voltage into your CPU on automatic
I left on for now, will switch off when i get home. Ill also check XMP. Could this possibly be the cause of my shutting and restarting problems aswel as BSOD (happened twice)
:tada: Congrats @fierce robin, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
Yeah the Game Boost could potentially be causing it - I would see if disabling it makes any difference at all
Not sure I looked in my event viewer yesterday and it mentioned cache, would have to take another look, will post it here when i get home
@blazing wadi game boost is off I think 😅
That looks all good, I would just enable A-XMP 1 so that your RAM is running at its full speed
Okay ive tested it off (game boost and xmp) no BSOD. But my computer still doesnt switch off properly, fans and lights still on after shutting down.
Hmm that's unusual - you might be best getting in touch with tech support if you haven't already and see what they advise
