audio quality sounds terrible after updating drivers for audio

So I had really good audio quality since i got the pc until something happened that caused the audio quality to go abit worse but still decent. about 12 months later (3 days ago) I decided to update the drivers and when i did that it caused my audio to go extremely bad. i tried doing everything to fix it but its just extremely trash

so from what im seeing i have Realtek (R audio) and not high defenition audio. Is that the problem?

my monitor has hd audio but speakers(headset) doesnt
