#Auto update leading to hardware error?

It is 8am and the death beeps have sounded after my pc woke from sleep mode to auto install a windows update.

When trying to reboot to finish the install process, it failed and directed to bios. It continues this cycle when bios are closed.

  • 1 long beep, 4 short (hardware error)

  • boot screen names this as a CPU fan error

  • all fans (&cooler) seem to be running?

  • [there is one amber LED around the back, I can attempt to get a photo of this. not sure if it's relevant as I believe it's to do with the ethernet or some sort.]

CPU- AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
MB- ASUS Prime X570-P
GPU- MSI Geforce RTX 3070 suprim X

Please let me know if I'm being an idiot, or missing something obvious!
