yeah so this has been a problem for the past year and i tried a year ago with videos from youtube but i eventually just gave up and settled for my ps5. Now there's pc exclusives coming out and i wanna use the pc i bought for gaming, FOR GAMING lmao. i tested the pc with older games like max payne 3 and it runs fine no crashes but any newer game i try to launch like any recent cod titles the pc crashes and restarts even before the game fully launches. it doesnt matter the launcher itself (ive tried steam, rockstar launcher, battlenet, etc) newer games refuse to launch. and i've tryed literally everything from hard resetting the pc, to manually updating the drivers EXCEPT asking HERE for help 🤓

Have you had any blue screens with error codes for Windows or is it a flat your PC will turn off

tired scarab
#

the fans run loud and then it shuts down and restarts

#

no blue screen

soft pelican
#

Could you download the 3DMark Demo and see if you're able to run that without it crashing. If you're able to get a full result, could you click the Compare Result Online button and send the link in here:

I would try running DDU just to be sure it isn't anything driver related:

strange obsidianBOT
#
Display Driver Uninstaller

:one: Download the driver for your GPU from the manufacturer's website using the links below, but don't install them yet.
:two: Download the latest version of DDU by clicking the button below, clicking on the top post which is called "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) VXX.X.X.X Released", and clicking ***Official Download Here*** in that post.
:three: Disconnect from the Internet by unplugging your ethernet cable or turning off WiFi in the bottom-right corner.
:four: Open the program you just downloaded, choose a location for DDU to be saved, then click Extract
:five: Open the Start Menu, click the power icon then hold Shift on your keyboard and click Restart. Once your PC has restarted, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, and press 4 to load into safe mode.
:six: Find the folder you extracted DDU into and open Display Driver Uninstaller.
:seven: On the right side, select the type as GPU, and the brand as the manufacturer of your GPU. Then, click 'Clean and Restart'.
:eight: Once you have loaded back into Windows, install the GPU drivers you downloaded earlier. Once they have installed, connect back to the Internet.

tired scarab
#

and try to run cod after doing this

#

?

soft pelican
#

Yeah try it and see if its made any difference at all

tired scarab
#

im confused

#

driver results after i entered in manual driver search

#

different ones with different dates

#

nvidia studio drivers

#

geforce game ready drivers

vocal wraith
#

Game Ready Drivers

soft pelican
#

Go for the most recent game ready driver

tired scarab
#

im goona assume most recent only game ready driver

#

yeah alr

#

ddu can be saved in the same folder as the driver?

#

and do i need multiple drivers since it says "install them"

#

i have to say aswell this pc pretty much straight away started crashing when it first arrived

#

this isnt normal and i just got unlucky right?

#

nobody ok

soft pelican
#

and its just the nvidia driver you need

tired scarab
#

alr thanks and btw the instructions are in the wrong order a bit

#

you have to be connected to the internet to be able to extract the files

#

i had to atleast

soft pelican
#

You shouldn't need to be connected to the Internet as they're already downloaded

tired scarab
#

im in safe mode ;o never been here

#

omg i knew a problem would arrive

strange obsidianBOT
#

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @tired scarab, you levelled up to 8! :tada: cprgbglitch

tired scarab
#

display driver uninstaller cannot be accessed by the system

#

@soft pelican

soft pelican
#

Would you be able to take a picture/screenshot of the error?

tired scarab
#

in safe mode theres no wifi

#

its a read x that says the file cannot be accessed by the system

#

those instructions don't work

#

or maybe are outdated

#

even at step 3 you cant disconnect from wifi otherwise you cant extract the files because its not connected to a server or something

soft pelican
#

They should still be up to date, are you opening the Display Driver Uninstaller .exe from inside the DDU folder?

tired scarab
#

yes

#

where else can i open it?

#

im still in safe mode btw

soft pelican
#

Try extracting the files again by re-opening the original download just in-case they got corrupted somehow. You shouldn't need to be connected to the Internet since the files are already downloaded

tired scarab
#

the files cant be accessed by the system though

#

everything looks different in safe mode aswell

#

like the files

soft pelican
#

Whereabouts is the file downloaded to?

tired scarab
#

in this pc in documents in a new folder i created for the files

#

so i could find them easily

soft pelican
#

Do you use onedrive at all? I wonder if its preventing you from accessing the files without being connected to the internet

tired scarab
#

yeah i use onedrive

soft pelican
#

Ah that might be why, try heading out of safe mode by restarting your PC and download it to your downloads folder, since that won't get automatically backed up by onedrive

tired scarab
#

the files are in onedrive lol

#

alr

#

i was able to access it without restarted

#

in the downloads folder

soft pelican
tired scarab
#

im now on step 7 and i just pressed clean and restart

#

nothing has happened though

soft pelican
#

It might take a few moments while it runs

tired scarab
#

im downloading display driver version 522.25 btw

#

for the 4th or 5th idk

#

i did this before but without the safe mode part

#

because i tried tutorials on yt

#

so lets assume this doesnt work

#

what else could i do

#

because its not a hardware issue since i can run older games

#

but i tried update the stupid drivers in so many ways now

#

why is it this complicated

#

i spent over probably £8,000 on my setup total

#

i assumed it would work out of the box but ive had all these problems bruh

#

i couldnt even refund cause i had the pc too long lmao

wide thistle
#

Issue can happen at any time, regardless of time,

Even if its an 1hr into using the PC

tired scarab
#

im the most unlucky person

#

btw

#

i had a message asking if i should run call of duty in safe mode

#

yes or no

wide thistle
#

Do yes

tired scarab
#

i usually press yes and it runs for longer without shutting down

#

and no shuts down the pc and restarts

#

but i have a massive feeling the pc is still gonna restart

#

and all this was for nothing and i still cant play certain games

#

or any new games

#

so i just have this sick pc that cant even run anything lol

#

yeah as i thought the fans just went loud and computer restarted again pepesad

wide thistle
#

What Power supply does your system have?

tired scarab
#

i think its software issue but i can send the ideas of the order

wide thistle
#

Whole case fans go full speed or GPU fans go full?

tired scarab
#

POWERSUPPLY: Corsair RM850 850W 80+ Gold Modular Gaming Power Supply [+6]

#

i have 9 fans i think they all increase speed before everything restarts

wide thistle
#

Can you do me a favour download this program
and then also download this

tired scarab
#

but if power supply was the problem wouldnt it struggle to run everygame

GPU-Z
#
Furmark GPU Stress Testing

:one: Open the link below, choose latest version on the left, then click the Orange Download button.
:two: Open up the file you just downloaded, accept the license agreement and continue through the setup.
:three: Uncheck 'Launch FurMark release notes', leave 'Launch FurMark' checked, and click Finish.
:four: Leave everything on the defaults, select 'GPU Stress Test', and allow that to run for two hours.
:exclamation: If your PC freezes or crashes while running the test, or the two hours are up, let us know.

tired scarab
#

bruh 2 hours

wide thistle
#

Open GPU-Z and go to the sensors tab..

Keep an eye on GPU core, and memory temps

Then launch Furmark and do the test, don't do it for 2 hrs just do 15-30 mins

#

If your memory temps go above 95c that's usually when many cards will go into failsafe mode and turn themselves off or go full fan ramp

even though the GDDR6X is rated for 110c+

tired scarab
#

what should i do about that

wide thistle
#

If your card is turning itself off because of memory temperature, your card will have to be replaced

tired scarab
#

some ugly visuals

wide thistle
#

The big furry donut

tired scarab
#

aye im a kanye fan too

#

hes trippin on the news rn though

#

bruh our playlist is weirdly similar

#

TF LIL BOAT

#

i took the woooooook to pollannnnds

wide thistle
#

How's the current memory temperature?

#

during furmark

tired scarab
#

gpu temp?

#

78C

#

idk what mhz means

wide thistle
#

No, the Memory temperature, assuming your GPU has that sensor

tired scarab
#

mine is 96C - 98C

wide thistle
#

That's a tad warm, right now....

Nothing scary

tired scarab
#

been running for 5 mins

#

ik you got poland on your playlist rn

#

this test is proving anything though

#

its not shutting down or restarting

#

ill keep it running though

wide thistle
#

Its just checking if the memory is at fault or not

slim geyser
tired scarab
#

ah

slim geyser
#

Is not gonna do anything wrong, the PC will auto restart if the temps are high

tired scarab
#

which they are btw

#

but almost 10 mins and no restart

slim geyser
#

Dec is the expert on how much you should keep it on but my opinion extra 5 minutes should determine if is faulty or not

wide thistle
#

Just to inform you more about memory temperature, it varies per card as some have better coolers, but 3070ti and above generally have quite hot running Video memory, That's an example of mine where the memory temperature is quite low

tired scarab
#

seems like my cooler sucks

#

since my memory temp is around 95C

wide thistle
#

Not really, yours is a complete different card to mine

#

I wouldn't say your cooler is terrible, its just 3070ti's aren't exactly the biggest of cards and do usually have smaller coolers than the card i'm using

tired scarab
#

im watching anime

#

currently watching spy x family, classroom of the elite and chainsaw man

wide thistle
#

I'd say you can stop the test now, you're Video memory doesn't seem to be the issue, can you try launch a different game, Not Call of duty as that game is quite crashy on PC as is

tired scarab
#

yeah other games work i said eariler

#

new games are the problem

wide thistle
#

Any other games that aren't cod you can try and then maybe record what it does

tired scarab
#

what do you suggest

wide thistle
#

Anything you have installed.. Just something quick you can boot up and isn't a huge install

tired scarab
#

all my games are huge installs ;-;

#

i got red dead 2, forza horizon 5

#

cod titles

#

god of war

#

but i've been buying games on ps5

#

since the pc struggles running newer games

#

which is why im here

wide thistle
#

Try and install something that's free to play and isn't a huge install and see if it still crashes

tired scarab
#

is it possible to sell the pc back to cyberpower

#

not a refund but just have it back for half price or something

#

its pising me off not gonna lie

soft pelican
#

That isn't possible, but your PC should still be covered under warranty so you can organise for it to be sent in and repaired

tired scarab
#

but i don't even know what the problem is

#

it just pick and chooses what games to run and what not to run

#

but how

#

ps5 works fine

#

after a a full year of use and it was only 500

#

running a game is so simple i dont get it

soft pelican
#

PS5 games are programmed to only run on the PS5, but since PCs are custom and you can have an almost infinite number of configurations sometimes you can run into some issues with compatibility between software/drivers/hardware

tired scarab
#

nice try but alot of the time there's crossover games between consoles and pcs

#

and they work fine on console every time lol

wide thistle
#

because its coded specific for it, PC's there's unlimited options and its impossible for a developer to code for them all

tired scarab
#

bruh my pc cost thousands

#

why would they release a game for a platform if it couldnt run

#

the game fully loads and then right before the bigger screen opens the pc restarts

#

there's no solution?

#

i already tried hard resetting

#

and re downloading everything but the issue persists

strange obsidianBOT
#

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @tired scarab, you levelled up to 9! :tada: cprgbglitch

tired scarab
#

i've literally never had this problem with any pc or laptop before

#

or console

#

but i soon i got this one the problem spawned

#

nothing on yt works and i've tried everything

#

and ive tried everything suggested here and my game still wont freaking launch dude

soft pelican
#

They should be able to run on the majority of systems, but since PCs can vary so much its impossible to test every single hardware configuration with every single piece of software available. You get lots more flexibility with PCs, but unfortunately the downside is that sometimes issues like these can occur

What we're trying to do is see if we can break down the problem to a fault with an individual component, piece of software, driver issue, etc. If it works with certain types of games but not others, it can help to narrow down where the problem might be

#

When you reset Windows, did you do it via the built-in factory reset in the settings app, or by creating and booting off a USB stick?

tired scarab
#

i did built in factory reset

soft pelican
#

Sometimes the built in reset doesn't always work and it can leave behind remnants of the old install, I think the next best thing to try would be to do a fresh reinstall of Windows with a USB stick and see if that makes any difference at all:

strange obsidianBOT
#
Windows 11 Installation

If you are upgrading from Windows 10, you may need to enable TPM and Secure Boot in order to proceed with the Windows 11 installation - please follow the TPM & Secure Boot guide below first.

:warning: When reinstalling Windows, you will lose any files which are not backed up to the cloud or an external drive - please ensure any files you would like to keep are backed up before continuing.

:one: Click the button below and download the 'Create Windows 11 Installation Media' tool.
:two: Follow through the installation tool, and choose 'USB flash drive' when prompted. Your USB flash drive must be 8GB or greater.
:three: Once the tool has finished, shut down the PC you're installing Windows on and insert the USB drive.
:four: Next, repeatedly press the following key while your PC is turning on, depending on your motherboard:
rog ASUS/ROG: F8
aorus Aorus/Gigabyte: F12
msi asrock cp MSI/ASRock/Cyberpower: F11
Then choose your USB drive from the list to boot from it.
:five: Follow through the installation tool. When it asks for your product key, click Skip - your PC will automatically reactivate. Make sure to select the same Windows version as you ordered with your PC, then choose a Custom installation.
:six: Select the drive in which you would like to install Windows on (you will want to install Windows on your SSD, this is typically a smaller drive), delete any partitions which already exist and then select Drive # Unallocated Space, and click Next.
:seven: Once your PC restarts, you will be taken to the first-time setup screen, where you can setup your user account and preferences.

soft pelican
#

If its still the same afterwards, we can pretty much rule out it being a software or driver related problem

tired scarab
#

i did this months ago bro

wide thistle
#

You said you did it via the windows reset

#

not this method

tired scarab
#

its gonna do the same thing?

wide thistle
#

it resets but doesn't cause issues like the inbuilt reset

tired scarab
#

ill try it out tommorrow

#

i'll probably give up if it fails though

#

if you're suggesting this im assuming your out of ideas

#

and i tried everything on yt

#

so idk

soft pelican
# tired scarab if you're suggesting this im assuming your out of ideas

Not at all, there's lots of different things it could be, we're just trying to narrow it down further by making sure its not something software related

There's also Cyberpower tech support who might have more ideas of things you could try, or they can also arrange for your PC to be repaired under warranty if it seems like its hardware related
