I've been trying to make many games

I always pick up on a project I'm very passionate about, but I just lack the scripting skills and always end up dropping it, despite my love for the concepts I wanna make.

How do I seriously learn scripting? I've got every other skill I need but scripting and end up throwing away every game unfortunately

Hi Im a roblox scripter with 1.5 years of experience coding on roblox and here are the advice I would give you.

1. before you even start game projects learn scripting first
2. The only time you want to use AI when learning scripting would be when you are actually creating your game, don't keep relying on Ai. If you are using AI more than 60% of the time and you are using to fix bugs when you only tried to debug it for a few minutes by yourself thats too much
3. I would recommend watching tutorials that are in playlists my personal suggestion is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J8kNBBJT1E&list=PLfAg6nOoAuSm3IFHTbLfknrEDnRoSxCwW by codebro29 I recommend it because this is the tutorial that helped me in scripting, this tutorial only teaches you the basics other parts of scripting you must learn from other tutorials
4. don't go straight into game development after the watching tutorials they are not the only important part of learning scripting, practise scripting like making small game mechanics like gun systems, ui menus, car systems all of this can help you learn scripting better
5. most importantly, don't get distracted, stay focus and finish the previous 4 steps first before making your game, discipline is very important
