I’m not that advanced in Luau yet but I think having some sort of client script that goes through a set amount of pet instances with a certain tag, using the collection service, and grabbing an attribute from them(called cash or smth and give it a number) could work
Then from that script reff the local client and grab its cash stat in the leaderstats folder and alter it

if you depend on the client for the pets, that is bad behaviour
exploiters can just spoof their pets
rather just make everything on the server to do with the cash per second
if i was you, i would just make a "PetManager" module script
and have like PetManager.addPet()
petmanager.removePet()
petmanager.allpets

Like I said I don’t really know when to use client or server scripts yet. I just assumed it would go under client as the client will be the one being manipulated by its own pets.
But having it under server so anyone can really access it does sound very much logical 😄

And have some functions to add/or remove pets from the player's pet collection and store them in a table. Then whenever the function for the cash collection gets called(from whatever script) it will just have to access this table, loop through and grab any amount from the pet instances' attribute
If I were you I would store this table directly into a script somewhere directly in the player
