I just gave it a playtest, and everything feels quite good in terms of level balance ect. These are the improvements I believe you can make:

• Adding some background music
• Adding checkpoints
• Making the game R6

Other than that, if that is your first game, it is good.

100% Not only is programming one of the best skills you can have, being able to use code to create your own stuff is so liberating, and means later on, you can create much better, more advanced games.
