i actually kind of like this change. while the classic faces were iconic, roblox has clearly been moving toward a more unified and expressive avatar system for a while now, and this feels like a natural step in that direction. removing older faces helps clean things up and avoids splitting the platform between legacy and modern avatar styles. it also makes it easier for roblox to focus on improving newer facial tech instead of maintaining two very different systems at the same time. there’s definitely nostalgia attached to the classic faces, but i think this change shows roblox committing fully to where it wants the platform to go next, and i’m interested to see how the newer avatar options continue to improve because of it.

Dynamic faces are also worse from a developer’s perspective
Classic faces can be changed in code by simply changing the ID but for dynamic faces you have to change an entire model which is much more complicated
