When I mean eveything I mean an Archive of information: Every Service in existence, Every word and piece of Code there is in Lua. I need a List of everything and Roblox Website for Devs is not Enough.

Like whats the point of learning everything

#

Learning everything doesnt mean u can make everything

#

No one knows everything in rblox bro, u learn things based on experience

just make stuff as you go, and if you need to go back and improve something; well that just comes down to making your code modular enough to be easily improved as new demands are made of your codebase. scripting 101, really.

studio** You are now Level 3! **studio

+1jump/sec is a great introduction imo

#

after that maybe make a button simulator or a monster in a maze game

#

or both

#

start really simple. expect it to be complete garbage - you're not making these games to make a great game, you're making these to get hands-on experience and actually finish a roblox project.

and you won't do it right the first time. you probably won't do it right the second time either. just keep practicing and iterating.

#

just keep making stuff and eventually you'll learn more and more about roblox studio and how to make different kinds of game features, and eventually, after you've made enough stuff, you might be on the same level as the higher ranked scripters here salute

#

but not before.

#

all the high level scripters have read most if not all of the documentation already, meanwhile you're barely on page 1?

#

get to reading, son. you got a looong way to go salute

fluid gull
#

and when you're done reading every page in the docs, read it again because you probably missed something or roblox added / changed something. hehe

don't expect to finish in a day. it's better to set out to make something, look up what you need for that one particular thing, make it, then repeat until you pro.

no one can memorize the docs 100%

# spare grove Bruh ok… No secret sauce?

yep, there's no secret sauce, no special trick, most importantly, No Shortcuts. just make stuff. at first your stuff will be very bad, and that's okay its very normal. eventually if you just keep making stuff, you'll get better at making stuff, just through the sheer action of making stuff solely on its own.

#

this applies to literally anything in life

#

if you suck at cooking and want to get better, for example, cook new things. try different stuff.

#

eventually you'll start to learn what makes a recipe tick and what doesn't

#

you'll start with small changes to existing recipes but eventually you'll write entirely your own.

#

code is no different

spare grove
fluid gull
#

it cannot do anything you cannot do.

#

i will say though, picking through other people's code (not ai) can give you a few boosts, but the trick to that is you need to pull apart someone else's code, repurpose it, and make something new with it.

#

-- you're still making stuff.

#

ai code isn't useful since it's only as good as you are.

spare grove

#

it is not agi, sorry.

spare grove

#

the AI is in a bubble right now and when people start figuring out it is not agi, the bubble will burst.

#

it is a tool, like a calculator, and like a calculator, it will never replace the human telling it what to do.

#

the output of a calculator makes no sense without the human to interpret it.

#

that's why it's only as good as you are

spare grove
fluid gull
#

if it makes a mistake you don't understand, you cannot do anything about it, so it was only ever as good as you to start with.

fluid gull
#

doubly so if you expect aI can do it for you

#

there's no free lunches, there are no shortcuts, and the only get rich quick scheme there is, is scamming people into thinking there is a get rich quick scheme.

#

if you want to actually make money, i suggest you focus on your school work and get good grades, get into a good university and study to either be a doctor or a lawyer or something more valuable to society

spare grove
fluid gull
#

well, a couple bucks here and there, but no real money yet

#

i have made real money outside of roblox tho

#

but those dont scale well, didn't know what i was doing etc

#

i'm here because i already know how to code and develop games, so this is a natural fit for me

spare grove

#

for someone with 0 days experience, nah do something else, or dedicate a whooole lot of time for such extreme competition

fluid gull
#

because despite how the popular roblox games make it look, you need to know what you're doing to make this stuff

#

either that or you get really, really lucky, like, you'd have higher chances buying a lottery ticket than beating the roblox competition kind of lucky.

spare grove

#

good luck regardless, maybe you get lucky salute
