Can I know what does scripting a lighting system do

I've never heard of it so I'm curious

perhaps that was the wrong wording to use, its not a lighting system per se rather than a system that changes your atmosphere, lighting, and overall game visuals depending on location, weather, and time

still uses roblox's lighting, a custom lighting system would be to calculate shadows and reflections based on light sources
