how do i properly use quarterninions

im trying to look deeper into CFrames and saw quarterninions can someone explain them and whats the point of them when i can just use cframe.Angles()?

cframes.angles doesnt use a quarterninion to set the rotation

theres only 3 parameters

x,y,z
