In roblox studio the overhead ui works with the name and rank but as soon as I go into my actual game it comes up with my name but the rank just goes back as guest and in the group it inst guest?

Try adding Async to the method :GetRoleInGroup ---> :GetRoleInGroupAsync, since it's deprecated (and that's also why it's underlined)

Deprecated methods in Roblox won't work properly and should always be replaced with their new counterpart
