you dont.. cuz you're still stealing rather you edit the song or not, you can buy a license though, im assuming you mean like some popular song or some copyrighted song like justin bieber ts or something
Yes, that's right. The strange thing is how some games have so much music and don't get copyrighted for it. Maybe they buy the licence or edit some of the music.
depends, what type of music is it? is it main stream like, some Taylor Swift type stuff or something? or your basic Clair De Lune, Moonlight Sonata type music?
some games will use tool box music or music provided by roblox, though anything that is from a popular singer is likely to be taken down at some point, if you have joined dance games you will see there is often dances that are "broken" because the music was taken down for copyright, thats just an example
If I tried that with Roblox music, just that I wanted to do like, add music as effects or something that doesn't break the rules of Roblox, I don't know if I explain myself well. Electronic music I'd like to add
some games do have a shit ton of copyrighted ost
eternal tower of hell's ost is 50% stolen nintendo music
i wonder how they do it ngl
Wow, I didn't know that
** You are now Level 1! **
I find the idea of stealing intellectual property stupid
Like doing it or.. the fact that its considered stealing? If I put out a song and someone else puts it out too with a few tweaks id be pissed
Pissed
the fact it is considered stealing
but a few tweaks can make it fall under fair use
which has no exact standards
Seems wild to me I dunno... its to reserve credit where its due, I don't know if you'd consider yourself an artistic person (rather it be sound, craft, art, music etc) but I feel like you're missing some points.. It not the end of fhe world if you 'fair use' from some millionaire, morally right? probably not. but probably also not damaging to them,, but a small artist, that would just be shitty ykwim
If it was my song imo I feel like I get to determine what is fair use as well, because imagine all they did is speed it up, which unfortunately happens a lot to music and then they post it, monetized and everything, it can most definitely hurt the og artist, I see you'd point for a few things but in general I don't think the idea as a whole is inherently stupid
yeah for sure
