I used the avatar tab to force r6 then used the reccomended "Animate" Script way and now my guy is doing this.

put it in starter character
change the id's and stuff
thats what ive been doing

also for idle
if u only want 1 idle animation, just delete one of them(doesnt matter which one) and remove the "Weight" under the one u dont delete
