#why does scriptable camera ignore the subject thingy?

I'm making a FNAF based game, and I'm trying to do the jumpscares, but for some reason when I put the camera type of scriptable it just goes to another cam, could someone explain it please?

scriptable cameras must be scripted

without scripting, a scripted camera doesn't do anything, won't move, won't follow a subject etc
