i have the grid done but how do i display images through a script and know if there is already an image there so it moves to the next slot?

you need to upload the images, and just make it so that it checks if that slot is taken and if it is move on to the next one

You could use viewport and just put the item model in there and to move things to the next slot you could just use a uilist
