most people just have something they do well, its common and a good idea to specialise in something for most skills, nothing wrong with that as long as not every single work is identical, which will most likely already get them rejected

if we forced people to submit different things there would be way less people getting ranked, since most people just get ranked on the work they do without making work specifically for ranking, so there would just be less people getting ranked, and I dont really see anything wrong with someone having a niche they do as long as its not insanely repetitive
anyway I think this should just be down to individual discretion of the rankers of each skill to decide if someone's works are too similar

As a person who can actually do a "variety of stuff" I'm very much against this idea. The people who'll be the best at 3D will be the best at one thing. that specialisation, if we force people to do a bunch of different things that'll just stunt their growth
