I wanna make a 2d fighting game like street fighter 6 or mortal kombat but the only issue is... Ive NEVER scripted before and i know litteraly nothing about roblox studio and i was wodnering if anyone would be willing to teach me

Listen take it from me or not but it all boils down to how you learn. What do I mean by that? Its that some people learn best at listening, reading, or something else. By knowing this you can learn luau best. But if you want sources: Roblox docs, ChatGPT - just keep in mind do not always trust it but it is helpful sometimes. And dont use it to code for you but to help your learning. Roblox Forums, and maybe from someone else who can explain it properly. Now you can try youtube videos but i dont recommend them for a reason:

  • Barely any tutorial videos actually teach. Most explain things so briefly, oversimplified or overshortified your just copying pasting. These kinds of videos force you into memorization not actually learning so you must be at some point of understanding to luau to atleast learn abit from the videos. Thats all i can give you

its like if you were to try and explain 2+2 to someone that doesnt even know what addition is

its not like the math itself is the hard part but the basic understanding of the problem

and for the game i wouldnt even know where to start, like do i try and make models and anims from scratch and then script them to do stuff

or do i make an entire script and then attach the script to a model
