#How do yall know what documentation page to read when making stuff
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I want to make a movement system
and i want to read a documentation page
but i don't know which
what kind of movement are you trying to make, dashing, sliding etc?
all of those
read pages related to what you're looking for, e.g when dealing with characters and humanoids maybe look up characters and humanoids
if you're trying to do physics, have a look at all the physics stuff and find the one that fits
ballsocket - hmm nope that wont help - linearvelocity? oh maybe
but basically i've at least seen almost every page in the docs so i have a pretty good idea what is in there
if you haven't at least seen every docs page, you haven't read enough of the docs
and how do people change the shiftlock smoothness

like this
idk what you're talking about but when you're trying to do anything just break it down into smaller components and work each one of them out and put them together
any sufficiently advanced code is made up entirely of lots of small simple things being used together
shiftlock smoothing - it's literally in the name. shiftlock - look up ways to work with shiftlock. smoothing - look up ways to do smoothing. then put them together
i want to modify shift locking
