I’ve been thinking about the direction I should take with my scripting. I’m wondering if it’s better to specialize in a specific type of game, like simulators or combat games, or if I should continue practicing a bit of everything to stay more versatile. Would it be smarter to focus on mastering one genre and become really good at it, or should I keep exploring different areas to build broader experience? I’d really appreciate any advice or thoughts on this.
#Should I Specialize in One Game Genre or Stay General?

How good are you at scripting
You should probably stay versatile because when you make a game you are already focusing on one part
You didn't get what I mean. Some devs specialazing only in specific type of games. Like they know how to do insane combat systems, but they can't do horror for example
Versatility is good but if you only like a single genre then ig stick with that
you're also overthinking this a lot
You learn from experience so just do whatever
Why would you ask it here
why not?
