my gui doesnt work
my old gui popped up when i clicked the image button, but my new gui just doesnt
im using image buttons as oppose to text buttons so that might be the problem
Is this a script or a localscript?
show us the script bro 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
local script
** You are now Level 5! **
you tried to do imagelabel.Image=nil
maybe you left an image blank on something in the config idk
wdym by that
idk i just say stuff for the sake of saying things sometimes. maybe put it into google translator and it will probably tell you coz it doesn't look like natural english
chatgpt might be able to help you interpret what it means too
would u happen to know how to fix this other problem i have
i made a script for an idex system where i can paste the id's of decals and the image should show up on here
but its not its just blank
heres the script fo it
decals are not images
like i can put a decal in this
sure, you could put a flying unicorn in there too, doesn't change the fact that decals are not images
the decal's texture is the actual image https://create.roblox.com/docs/reference/engine/classes/Decal#Texture but the decal itself, which is often the format that images are uploaded to roblox are held in, are not themselves images.
so then what do i upload my image as to make it compatible with the roblox asset id system?
leads to a fun time of inserting the decal into the explorer somewhere to grab the texture id out of it
you can just upload it then go to images in the create tab, no?
theres no images tab in "your creations" menu
that's not true. they're under creations -> development items -> images
that's from the dashboard tho
bro im so dumb im so sorry guys
i didnt know images were a thing, i thought they were the same as decals
cuz when i went to the images tab it just told me to go back to the decals page, but i didnt realise if i copied the asset id from the decal in the images page, it would have a completely different id
thats for images
if you were to do something crazy like y'know open the docs and actually read what i linked shock horror gasp, actual work? reading!? the end is nigh! - you might have noticed the part where it says:
How to find do I find a Decal's Content ID?
Unlike with Sound and Animation objects, the Content ID of a Decal is not the same as the number in the URL. There are two main ways of finding the Content ID of a Decal:
- Paste the URL into the Texture property in Roblox Studio. Roblox will automatically update the property to the correct Content ID. Note this only works in Roblox Studio and cannot be done from Scripts or while the game is running.
- Insert the Decal into the game, this is generally done through the Toolbox under 'My Decals'. The Content ID can be found in the decal that is inserted. Note, InsertService:LoadAsset() can also be used if developers wish to automate this method.
don't worry, you can read up to 200 words before your eyes start falling out of your head. i knew this guy once and he read 230 words and his eyeballs fell out and rolled all over his keyboard making a mess everywhere. but you'll be okay here since it's less than 150 words here
whats ur problem dude
the problem is 90% of people that come in here just dont do ANY research before they ask simple stuff that could easily be answered
💔
lack of internet connection so i can't run studio properly, nor the roblox player, nor youtube. 144p for 3 weeks is really starting to get to me
if it didn't take an hour to load studio every time i go to open it, and if i didn't have to close it every time i wanted to do anything else coz it eats too much of my 2byte/sec bandwidth, i'd probably be a bit less annoyed. is roblox after all so i know i can't expect too much better
damn
ah well if ur telling the truth i hope it gets fixed somehow
i decided to try to open studio today and that was 3 hours ago, i'm still waiting..
