ive been scripting for 2-3 months months now. progress has been a little slower than other because ive had days i spent modeling and animating. i wanted to ask all the more advanced scripters how you all got better at scripting personally. i started off watching brawldev tutorials just following what he did and then after taking what i know to make something but i feel like i should be advancing more and makin improvements more often. i just want some tips on getting better and how other people personally started advancing more

I wouldn't focus on advanced coding techniques if I was in your feet. I would currently just focus on readability, scalability and just coding styles (e.g. ECS/OOP). These will help you make code bases that you can actually return to and continue working on. This will also help you work on larger projects without having to redo a lot of the code.
Afterwards, if you have actually gotten those skills under your thumb, then move into (micro-)optimisations and more advanced algorithms (which comes down to just looking up alternative ways of doing certain tasks, and then chosing an algorithm that best fits your needs. And perhaps even frankenstein a few together to best fit your current needs)
