Oh… I am a builder, a bad one, but I can’t do anything other then building becouse my ADHD brain can’t handle it.. I want to learn building. But only to make simple stuff like Katanas and MAYBE simple guns, but I don’t know anything, and last time I opened blender, all I could make was a shitty sword, if I can find the photo I’ll send it here, btw.
well building and modelling are pretty different
but I do get that you built stuff in roblox studio
I'll just get straight to the point, roblox studio building for stuff is unoptimized & bad. Trust me, take your time to learn blender & u'll see the fruits of ur labour
Texturing is also a different thing
meshes shouldn't be too complicated if what you want to do can be achieved through textures
e.g. making a 32 vertices loop screw detail
I suggest substance painter to texture
it's super super good
But they kind of go hand in hand, like you can enhance building with modeling, right?
But I mean building isn’t bad altogether, even if it’s bad on its own. I mean without buildings there’s no maps. No buildings, no games In Roblox.

I feel like building on roblox is pretty limited
it's obviously a very dynamic thing

because u have basic parts with basic materials, basic parts with custom pbr materials & straight up meshes
generally if something is pretty planar & achievable with building then go for it

but if u want more detail & optimization for more complex shapes go with modelling
let me show u an example
imagine how hard this would be to make with studio & how the textures would still not look the same

There is always pbr
PBR is pretty much the way for realism
keep in mind
it only looks good because it includes AO & details within the texture
which roblox doesn't really have

which is what it would be like on roblox
why would you do this well in blender
& also smart materials which are materials that keep track of the mesh's baked texture
