ive never really understood, whats the difference between using a for loop with and without pairs()?

local blargh = {}

for _,_ in blargh do
    -- wawa
end

for _,_ in pairs(blargh) do
    -- wawa
end

-- whats the difference??

from my experience, they do the same thing, but i wanna know if there truly is a difference
