So basically, learn the basics of Lua first. For example, If statements, loops, tables. Then, think about what you want to create. Whenever you get stuck, search up the problem on google and start reading roblox dev forums. You can also come here If you really don't get it. But yeah, continue doing that, and the thing about game development is that you never stop learning.
Should I learn the basics of lua through a YouTube tutorial, reading documents, or just trying it out by myself?
brawl dev, roblox docs, dev forum all have guides
Gotcha
** You are now Level 1! **
Thank you
Lua basics through youtube. Then work on creating systems such as inventories, shops, leaderboards, combat systems, etc. When you get stuck, read the solutions on dev forums and look up stuff in roblox docs as needed.
I suggest not to get stuck in tutorial hell and rather be in project heaven.
