cloning map from a folder into workspace

i tried using the contents of a folder as a model but that didn't work either
i'm not sure what it is, i feel like i've tried a lot of different methods here but i'm drawing up blanks

i'm sort of just doing this for testing purposes to see if i can make round based-minigames, i tried just parenting the folder itself to the workspace but that didn't work either
