Scripters, how did you learn to script

I'm new to scripting , and Roblox studio in general, but I have big idea for a game, but I need to know how to script, so those who know how script, how did you learn, how do you suggest I learn?

its like a tower defense game

but your base is a military base, and the enimies are like soldiers and tanks and jets, and the enimies aren't in a straight line , but more long similar to TDS

then try to come up a coding solution to it

like “how do i code a fireball ability”?

I watched brawldev and other YouTubers as a beginner and once I finished that I started making random stuff on my own in one place where I just tested my limits. Whenever I couldn’t do something I would go to the docs or youtube to find something similar that covers it. The most important part I would say is understanding and not memorizing, don’t try to memorize the syntax that the person is providing you but rather how the stuff functions !!
