** You are now Level 3! **
hello
** You are now Level 4! **
do u wanna help
Watching YT tutorials and practicing, practicing, practicing
Okay
I'll just do that tbf
You can't skip.
First try to learn the basics from YouTube channels, like opening doors, elevators, and running.
After that, learn from other people's scripts, try to get a copy of the game, and edit and modify the script.
You will learn a lot from watching other scripters. If you like combat, try to get a copy of Naruto CC or something similar.
You can find many copies of games on YouTube.
If you are lucky and get help from a programmer, try your best to be his assistant. I learned a lot about the tutelage of a friend of mine.
I helped him with simple systems, but he explained complex systems to me.
I went through these stages.
If you have any further questions, the order was:
Youtube Videos
Attempts to make Rogue Lineage combat
Attempts to make my own combat game
I made my copy of Naruto, that's where I really learned how to manage combat.
After that, I made countless small projects that didn't work out.
I started doing commissions, I made the mistake of not saving any of my old gifs or scripts to use commissions, don't repeat the same mistake.
I made friends looking for help and they led me to help a scripter friend of mine as an assistant, on a project, where I learned a lot.
And finally, I'm doing projects and commissions.
All of this had huge pauses of months, because getting discouraged is normal, I've lost count of how many times, and even today I tend to get discouraged from trying to be a programmer sometimes, the important thing is to always try again after a while.
Everyone goes through this, I know many friends who left programming and became designers, modelers or visual effectors, but it's up to you.
