#how to script a custom hotbar
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
it's made on figma so maybe that'll help
also if there are any FULL tutorials that I could watch or read I'm interested
figma is great for drafting things out, but implementing a pencil sketch into the game takes a lot more work and effort than simply drawing a picture. it must be built in roblox.
this may come as a shock but there isn't always going to be an exact step-by-step tutorial for whatever thing you're trying to do. sometimes, you just need to have general knowledge. maybe hire someone or learn how to make guis
like take a tutorial that makes a basic hotbar, and then adapt it to your needs. that's the way the cookie crumbles
I've been actually trying to figure out how other custom hotbar are made and so far I'm learning some details from the scripts, would probably take some time but I'm willing to put some time and effort on it. Otherwise, I guess I need to just learn it
see you when I make it work
if you get stuck on something specific and you've spent hours on it and cannot figure it out, those things are the stuff to ask about, and usually they're just simple stupid little mistakes you're getting caught on, but yeah for a whole ui like this you need to learn ui or hire someone unfortunately. you'll get there eventually, i know how much work it can be. i belief in you
Yeah, I mean, considering that I have only been 4 weeks in this field, I'd say I've got so much improvement. I really want to learn this kind of stuff since I also want to make some income from it for my tuition fee in college. I also want to sell the game if ever I successfully construct it, though right now I'm solo, but I'm going to try and see where I could get
i suggest looking for a regular job, roblox doesn't pay well
I'm 16 yo lol
yea go work at walmart or mcdonalds or something, they always looking for young people
you wont have a problem getting a job there if you're persistent enough
I also got a part-time job at a local cafe near our house.
discord mods: 🧑🦯🧑🦯🧑🦯
if you want to work in roblox, you basically need the equivalent of a cs degree
so uhh.. yea don't quit your day job, and focus on getting good grades and go to college
I sure be doing that
yea school doesnt last forever. enjoy it while it lasts
I'm not gonna be like my father
I mean, he's not the worst, but not the best either
no shit man life is stressful
so aim to be better, and the best thing you can do is stay in school, pass all your classes, and make something of yourself. be a lawyer or a doctor or something.
lawyer fits me but I'm into tech nowadays, so yea I'm doing a computer science course
lawyer fits tech surprisingly well
cs is reading documentation mostly. lawyering is reading legislation mostly.
same same imo
I also have a bit of experience on programming sites, which didn't really last that long because I had no time to learn coding before.
ngl getting at least a basic level of understanding how programming and computers work should be taught in every school, but that's just my opinion 🤷
I'd say yea also because lawyer is also about getting information which fits cs real good
** You are now Level 5! **
you only need basic level for competency
aim for the bar exam 😛 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_examination
A bar examination is an examination administered by the bar association of a jurisdiction that a lawyer must pass in order to be admitted to the bar of that jurisdiction.
some schools have implemented this alr. my school has a cs course
ikr, I mean literally nowadays everything is virtual, and every school should implement basic knowledge on technologies
I will be achieving that soon enough
4 years in law school sounds like a long time..... until 4 years has passed in the blink of an eye. you'll understand someday
anyway didn't mean to derail. the grind keeps on grinding, i belief in you
I'll keep you updated lol
