Well, you can try mummification
jokes aside, just change the joints of the old rig to ball socket joints and respawn in a new rig without destroying the old one
Roblox doesn't do it for you, you have to do it manually

yeah exactly like this person said, clone the players body before respawning. quick note, the players character has archivable turned off, not allowing you to clone the character, but this can be easily fixed by turning archivable on.
also the players limbs (except the torso and head) WILL fall through the map too since they dont have collisions, so you will also need to turn the collision on for the arms
