** You are now Level 1! **
what have you tried so far?
Tried raycasting and using alignpositon
but
wasnt working
and i have 0 clue how to do it
what research and study have you done to try to understand how it works?
have you tried any alternative techniques?
I would try just maniuplating the gravity but
I would like to be able to control the arc and create it via that
not loosy goosy
idk hwo to explain it
Could I show a video and explain my idea ?
what research/study have you done to try to understand how it works?
oops mb
i've gone thru several posts on the forum
just looking at how others have talked abt doing it
I could detect how long the wall is in conjuction of my lookvector and stuff, and I had an idea of using apart and welding myself to it and doing an arc but
im not entirely sure if that'll even work lol
im still fairly new-intermediate
that's probably why you're having a hard time. there is no arc.
physics will result in an arc, up to you to control the other parameters like speed and gravity
it's not loosy goosy, it's math.
hm
would anchoring the playing and moving it along an arc using bezier work ?
in theory?
i repeat: there is no arc. any perceived arc is created by physics, not a bezier.
you could impose basically anything you want in theory, but i can assure you it would not feel right
I want to create an arc using bezier by creating points between the end distance and the start, maybe a 3-6 point system
thats what I meant sorry
I understand that. what would be the best option in your opinion ?
** You are now Level 2! **
Using gravity and speed stuff or creating a fake arc and going along it
i think i've already made my position on that clear.
or maybe i just like saying things for the sake of saying things. who knows
i realize my methods seem abrasive, but it's not without purpose. i'm teaching you to fish, instead of simply giving you a fish, so to speak. 🙂
Yes and im asking you to show me where to fish and not just giving me it yo
not even showing me where to fish but just to point me in the right direction dude
this is the right direction, but you seem to be already decided on using bezier curves, no harm in giving it a try. if it goes well or does not you learn something either way
