I don't think it should be lowered bcz it give the user a decent amount of time to improve themselves. If it is made 1 week then user won't learn much and re-apply again and there would not be much progress/change on him and his skills.

2 weeks is plenty of time for people to actually improve. That is if your doing 8+ hours a day. If your not then you are probably slacking and not increasing your skill anyways before the 2 week maker.

If you think 2 weeks is too long then skip 2 ranks.
