just experimenting with this, not really a dev also, i barely even know the basics,

majority of it are parts, wedges and unions, as the only mesh parts are the head and helmet model,
and i made this character out of an R6 rig, tho i yeeted out its humanoid parts and scripts before i fully made this thing.. can this be fully rigged and made from scratch?

once thats done, how do i make it as a "StarterCharacter" too?

You can manually create the motor6Ds. But the rig makes it faster that's all

Take the rig builder as a reference

And try to replicate the motor 6d properties inside your own rig

Hmm well since you're using a custom rig instead of the player many things can go wrong

#

Like anchored parts, parts colliding with each other, forgetting to load the player's movements (I don't remember how to do it so can't rlly help with that)

Mm if they wiggle a bit when you jump, turn off can collide to all the parts except for the root part

It might be an animation problem if the rig doesn't move

i unioned the entire uniform since it was like made out of parts, and wedges, so its just one piece each being wielded to each limb of the standard r6 rig

Alr so if you can't move i think it's a problem with the rig. Try unanchoring everything and turning off cancollide

holy shit you were right it was the unions that were anchored lol, my bad really, but it does this when i do so.

I think it might work if you remake the welds while they're unanchored. Might not work so try with just one union first

You can't rig like this. You have to rig the body parts to each other then weld the uniform into the body parts

@wind belfry despite already making adjustments with the unions pivot, it still does this when i weld the uniform to the torso thru m6d

neither can i change this also, it stays as 0,0,0

its always the same thing, its one out of the three that has its orientations go to 0,0,0 randomly whenever i do weld it right after

@wind belfry hmm i fixed it somehow? but theres still something wrong here, i made some adjusts but it makesthe union/uniform wont align, and it kinda pushes it back by a few studs as seen, arms wont move, tho i can see an idle animation on the torso and arms

legs are always fine somewhat.

did everything you said, disable both anchor, cancollide, adjust pivot prefixes (tho this worked by doing adjusting the "C0" on the uniforms and torso's m6d, but the same problems are still seen in the video

Yeah the problem is with the rig above the legs

Because it doesn't match with roblox's animations

Unless you made a custom animation of your own

In which case i'll have to see the animation in animation editor
