not quite sure why you wouldnt want to do that but you could try using a linear force to push the player back forward
I’ve tried that, also I’m jsut trying to make the player faster
ngl it’s bc I don’t want to effect the walkspeed in any way
so I have to figure out how to change the characters walkspeed without changing the actual walkspeed value

it works for me so you prob set the force too low

just reverse the direction

I see, so I can use the force to speed the player up as well? And if so, can the player move while the force is applied (use WASD like normal) or no
