hi! im making a sonic engine that utilizes the quickstep, which is basically a move that lets you move a short distance to the left and right while running in a straight line. the thing i need help with tho is that as sonic picks up speed, the distance the quickstep lets you move left and right increases which isnt what i want at all. can anyone help? thanks

I can't really help but the only thing I know is that you can enable AI from the beta features and it might help you
Do you have a video
Do u see when I start moving forward and then do the quickstep, the distance i move increases?
thats my problem
Are you using vector force?
im using rightvector
pretty sure its linear
Ngl idk if this will work but try setting a max force
i dont think it will considering rightvector was already increasing the force with my speed
without increasing the number
if that makes sense
i think i might have to do some tweening action
** You are now Level 3! **
You should try vector force
But I'm a bit confused if you are using linear velocity where did you disable it so you don't keep dashing
Wym so i dont keep dashing
Like
Usually if you set the linear velocity to a value, it would keep going in one direction
So where are you disabling it so you don't keep going one direction
Unless my memory is wrong
it might actually be a vector now that i think about it
btw is this all your code?
Most of it is, some of it I had my friend help me with like the actual rightvector movement
the reason i came here is cuz neither of us knew how to fix the issue im having
i actually got it sorted out now thanks to this guy actually
This is more or less what i was going for and although you can clip through walls and stuff, i can sort that out later
ok nice
i just got absolutly flashbanged from that image, PLEASE use dark mode...
i am interest in this
