How to stop/start roblox's animations?

Im using custom animations in roblox for my characters.
For a specific period of time, I want no animation to be playing so I stop all tracks and disable the animate script.
But, when i go to enable the animate script, it doesnt reenable roblox's animations. How do I fix this?
