#Breaking Glass

Looks like unanchoring and applying a velocity
unions
That's a neat idea. build a window out of pieces, union it, then when it breaks, separate it and unanchor
no you can create unions with scripts
you dont need pre existong unions as long as they are parts
Well if the windows are prebuilt for the map why not have them be unions then?
because its not needed and would be unnecessary
youd spent time making unions just to make more with the script
is that because you can't get pre-existing union operations, you have to make a new UnionOperation to be able to later separate it?
are you aware of how unions work?
if you want to split glass into pieces lets say 3 then you make 3 unions and exclude the other 2 pieces so that you have 1 seperate piece
I've never made unions via scripts before
I thought you'd union the individual pieces of the glass into the larger window, so when you would separate the union it'd become the three pieces like it was pre-union, so it appears to have "shattered"
this wouldnt be very responsive if you were to shatter the glass in a specific spot as the centre would be the pre-existing one
