why not just have one role called "full-stack developer" and award it to users who have every single skill role (regardless of the level)

this is a pretty shit idea

#

just another unnecessary role

#

getting skill roles isnt a compretition

#

you get what you deserve

#

creating competition b/w collecting as much roles as possible can break the value each skill role holds

#

specially if done in a large scale which this suggestion suggests

I actually think this idea is great

#

It will make people learn other skills for game dev

#

Which will benefit them

#

I see no way this could backfire

I'm pretty sure the worst that will happen is that people will end up making useless tickets

#

skill roles are still important, it's just that getting all of them makes you (quite literally) more skilled than the rest

it would be better to set it up so that each rank contributes 1 point (eg, scripter 1 + builder 2 = 3 points), and you don't get any extra roles until you have like 20 points. (meaning you have to be at least rank 3 in 2 skills or more to get the extra role). the only people i've seen that could meet this criteria are usually very good at what they do.

#

but i mean, at that point why not just get the popular dev role? thats where it matters.
