I'm fond of the toon shaded aeshethic, I think it really belongs on the platform when it comes to anime/cartoon inspired projects
modern toon shading is a 3d lighting render, but it's attempting to emulate retro 2d toon shading, but efficiently
To me, your hand drawn textures, look like a faithful but inefficient toon shading method
that's to say: better, but takes more time
Your naruto texture has:
- Lines around the objects
- Hard shading (separating light/dark as a pose to a full blend)
- Flat textures
That's all the components of a toon shade
Are these a design choice
Or like a watermark
Yeah that's correct, that is where the key difference in terminology would come then
