Yeah I understand your pov but let me explain
These channels are for these tasks specifically, let's say you want to share what you do for one specific project, during a whole months or more, you can't do that anywhere except if you have some sort of fanbase or something on your socials.
This would make anyone able to, instead of (probably) advertising one time and be buried instantly, make their stuff visible to people and gather a following of some sort

I know that if I see a thread/post of some project/person that look promising, I would check the thread/post often to see what's up.

Really sorry if I'm not clear, I'm super tired lol

Also these channels aren't really useful for people trying to find promising projects if you know what I mean
For example #📣︱advertising is rarely/never read (Like in practically every Discord servers lmao)
