We've argued before for a suggestion like this.
A debate channel is the worst thing we can put on this server.
It would mean that vulgar words, threatening insults, etc... would fly every 2 sec, and our staff would therefore have to moderate it continuously and ban half a server .-.
So, creating a debate channel would lead to the absolute lack of our rule number 1 which says "No heated arguments, toxicity, harassment, or hate speech"

Debates aren’t possible in this server without personal insults towards another member’s mother

A suggestion can also have 10k likes, but the final decision is always taken by the staff team (moderators and management) who judge the suggestion in their own way, foresee any risks, modes of moderation, etc...
In this case, being a suggestion that goes against one of our most important rules, rule number 1, it will never, ever be added, even if God votes yes
