Borderline impossible to moderate, same reason why general and all other channels are English only with the exception of talking in a different language when a moderator is in chat that fluently speaks that language.
You could make mini-mods, like 1 for each language (one person for Spanish, one for Italian, etc ....) That will simply people with a role like "Spanish moderator", or simply "multi-language moderator", which role does not give them any special permission, but if someone breaks the rules in the multi-language chat, these "minimods" have the right to ping a mod, or simply do a photo of the problem and send it in a private chat where only mini-mods and mods have access
.
Then knowing that making a mini-mod for every language that exists in the world is a bit much, you could just make mini-mods for the main languages, like:
-Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian,German, Chinese and Arabic.
So you have a maximum of 7 people (or less if someone speaks 2 languages or more) which are not many and above all they are able to moderate the chat without problems.
.
as meex said this would be impossible to moderate unless we had designated moderators that are fluent in said language
Eventually you could put it as a "test chat", so you leave it available for like 1 month or less, and see how it turns out, so if it works and you can leave it or not.
And if the minimods agree, after the chat trial period, they can create a small blacklist of words that are too heavy, etc ... to add to the bot
that doesnt change the fact that its unmoderatable
whatever the word is
but i agree on the blacklisted words
you can still harrass people in other languages though
but since our mods are mainly english we would have no knowledge unless someone reports
I know, but if you bring moderators for specific languages, which as I said before that have no special powers, other than informing the moderators, pinging them or sending a test that someone broke a rule in a private chat where only moderators and language managers have access, it might work
I would be willing to do it
.
You just have to ask someone who knows 100% a language if they agree to become a minimod who just reads the chat and warns in case of problems
.
there wouldnt be a really reliable way to train them however
since they could just use translate
Why should you train one whose language is the one he has spoken since his birth
For some there is proof in chat history.
Like if you take Toxical you can see that he often speaks Portuguese and sometimes says that live in Portugal.
This is not a great test but it is already a small test, because in the history of the chat, 3/7 months ago or more, they wouldn't have said "I'm Portuguese" or anything to cheat the controls and be taken as a minimod now
.
Then as a definitive proof, if they agree, you can have a photo of the identity card where name, surname, image, date of birth, etc ... They are censored, and the only thing that must be visible, it must be the "nationality", and a paper note next to the identity card where they handwrite their name and discord ID, so you are sure that the image has not been taken from Google but it was done by them on the phone
.
Meex online....
Good luck Meex in reading everything I have written 🙂
Oh yes, ill give someone a state document that u can take hundreds of thousands euros of loans, with just so i can moderate a chat
Also if u tag it out its 10x easier to fake
Sending your ID is already easy enough to do and doesnt even mean they speak the language
....
this did not understand anything of what I wrote ....
@prime estuary Learn to read English
Identity card ≠≠≠credit card
And then if you read well, I wrote "everything censored ** except ** nationality"
Lear to read english part 2.
What you are not clear of " write discord name or discord ID ** beside ** the identity card " and especially you just have to think about it without even reading it "all in the same photo"
Sending the handwritten id next to the photo of your censored ID does not mean that you are of that nationality, but it serves to prove that it is not a photo taken at random by Google and censored
** You are now Level 23! **
You could make mini-mods because there are people that speak fluent languages like - that one dude thats german and has featured creator, me myself I can speak fluent polish and tons more
This is way too much work that doesn’t create a significant positive change. We’re already not a fan of most mini-mods since they claim authority or power where they don’t have any. They intimidate people into or forcing them to give out info for example or they plaster their name until they leave. We’re unable to look over a gigantic team of “mini-mods” that have no actual power but in the view of the general public do. There is a level of trust involved, they represent our community (like staff members) and need to uphold to our (not that strict) standards. At this point we basically have full blown moderator applications, not enough oversight and more problems to come.
It’s simply not feasible to do this (at least at this moment of time). It’s not something we can just “try out”. We have to abide by stricter community guidelines or risk possible harsh consequences. I simply don’t see how all this hassle, time and work would benefit this community.
U can take loans here on IDENTITY CARDS ISSUED BY THE COUNTRY
U probably dont realise that editing pictures is insanely easy
And adding text to the side is even easier
"thats my handwriting"

Prove its not
nothing is perfect, there is every time a little margin of error, even in photoshop, because the zero don't exists, so some time whit less or more accuracy, it's possible to see if is a original photo or no
very very hardly
no one analyses pictures that hard for discord lmao
also its not too hard to fake pictures like that again
