It doesn't really act like an actual audio visualizer

Looks to me like it just grows with the music rather than doing what an actual EQ visualizer does. If it were to be accurate, it would detect frequency bands (what each of the bars are) and each bar would grow based on the DB of the frequency range that it's assigned to.
