I’ve had him at R5 since forever and he does what I need him to do.
Eventually R7 for SEE but most do SEE very late on their development.

Relics on QGJ doesn't matter. He needs to die for the power to kick in. Plus he's pretty squishy anyway. Anakin needs high relics. If qgj survives your opponent has messed up.

Having him not die isn’t terrible either since no one else can die until he does but really the only reasons I relic’ed QGJ were for datacrons and JMK reqs.

If you want datacrons, get him to r3 but anymore isn't really necessary. If he doesn't die, it's more an error on your opponent. Get Anakin to r7. If you want to make it tricky getting a KB or Mace at relics is probably a better investment especially since they are requirements (JMK, BKM).
