I’m not super knowledgeable so I’ve mostly been basing my stuff on Songeta’s guide, but I’m not really sure how to go about farming certain characters, gears, ships, or upgrading characters. Any tips on what I should be doing right now I’m feeling overwhelmed

once you unlock fleets, start farming all Bounty Hunter ships and their crew
especially hound's tooth
then farm the toons for CLS i guess

Focus on your Phoenix Team, it's your bread and butter team early on. Hera, Captain Rex (even if not 7 Stars), Chopper, Kanan and Sabine/Zeb.
Then get your Empire Team running with Palpatine, Vader, Thrawn.
Next is Bounty Hunter, Bossk and Hounds Tooth are of importance.
Basically you can just follow his ressource management & cantina and ship energy parts.
Set up custom squads for hard energy, cantina energy and currencies where you just click through the characters to farm them like this and it makes everything easier
