So been playing for a while, no GL so far, and having a rough time on ships.
Wondering if there’s some clear things I need to do and accomplish to progress more, overall I feel stuck.
Any advice or help on what I could/should be doing would be much appreciated.

Hello 🙂 good start there, just needs some refinement.
Relic Vader and build Mara Jade to Level 85 G8. Strong Attack team.
Work on Geonosians as a side project while doing the above and below - 7 star all of them and get them to G12. Used for ships, Padme, Wat.
Zeta JKR 3x and Jolee 1x, relic Yoda and Jolee, preferably also JKR, to R5. Strong Attack team.
Dive into Executor shard farming, to guarantee fleet income. Work on the relics after finishing the above.
Geonosians have good ships - good to run them with Executrix
