Cursor stuttering

second time posting here just to see if I get anything different, I don't want to make a ticket but I will soon if this doesnt give me any strong answers tbh

my mouse keeps on 'stuttering', where it stops the movement its actually doing (so the cursor stops moving), which is obviously annoying not only for normal use but also for gaming because it causes me to lose a tiny bit.

I've tried going over the general area of my mousepad because i thought "maybe my mousepad is dirty?" but no, it seems to just happen in random places, and I don't have icue or anything downloaded, not sure if I should or not but just saying

Does it happen repeatedly?

Like if it stops once, you see it do it multiple times before it's back to normal or does it just stop once for a bit of time, like 3 seconds then goes back to normal for awhile?

it happens once in a while and it usually takes a few seconds where it just stutters weirdly, but I'm really confused now (I was gonna try to make it happen again and then post here about it) because sometimes it really looks like its a spot on my mousepad

I'm 50% convinced its not a specific spot on my mousepad but it could be something related to my mousepad, im not sure if it works like that but basically my mousepad has two colours, white and black, and some parts where I have my mouse it changes

so I'm not really sure, I'm genuinely tryna figure it out

That's so strange, especially if you don't have icue installed.

Which mouse do you have? The M75?

You don't happen to have any hairs or small particles that might be near the sensor, right?

yeah the m75 air, I've cleaned it a lot of times and it continued, but now it hasnt happened in a while

truly confusing

its done this before but wayy less, then it stopped, guess it came back randomly and its gone again

I have no software controlling the mouse, I have signalrgb to see the battery percentage but nothing else, the dpi is on device memory i think

I didn't think it was a cleaning issue, you're a good gamer, you clean and take care of your stuff!

I wonder if it might need a firmware update, which would require installing iCUE since it's not on our web utility yet.

But if it hasn't happened since you posted, might not be worth trying to update just yet

yeah if it ever happens again I'll be able to clip it (which might be broken in a game since I play that on 4:3 stretched to 16:9) and then I'll do a firmware update with icue

sucks that I never got my nvidia clipping setup before like yesterday or something, but I shall do

you'll have to ignore the audio being messed up, idk why the bass is like that and whatnot but here it is, the second one was me passing my mouse over the same spot I think

so I'm not gonna say it's the mousepad but I'm not gonna say its the mouse, it seems like the mouse cant understand when theres a difference of colour on my mousepad and instead has a hard time, since this happens in different spots of my mousepad with black/white designs

it also seems to happen more some days than others, today its happened twice but sometimes it doesnt happen, it happens in more than 2 games + desktop so it's also not that

I will resume my testing of not having a mousepad for a while to see if I get it to happen again, then I'll be more confident in what I say lol

happened on my old windows too, no icue

it stops then comes back, for example its stopped now but I don't know if it'll come back or not

I didn't really want to rma because it doesnt happen enough for me to think its worth it + from my understanding what was told to me was that I could only rma it once because it was a giveaway reward, but then I asked about that in bigger detail and then they contradicted themself... idk but either way not gonna rma just yet to make sure
